Smartphone photography, videography and Reels workshops , Orange, May 2026

A hands-on, small group, three-hour session where you'll learn to shoot, edit, and post engaging content using nothing but your phone.

When - I'm running these workshops over two dates, Friday 8 May and Friday 15 May. 2.30-5.30pm

Why?

This workshop will suit total beginners right through to practised posters wanting to upskill and get excited about shooting and showing up again.

We'll cover the fundamentals of taking better photos and videos on your smartphone: framing and composition, working with natural light, capturing clear audio, understanding angles, and getting the most out of your phone's camera using features you might never have known existed.

You'll also learn how to show up and talk to the camera in a way that doesn't give you the 'ick'—creating content that's real and genuinely you, but with the right lighting, audio, and framing to keep people actually watching.

Then we’ll move to Reels and work together using your own content to create three different video formats. You'll learn the essentials of editing in the Edits app, capturing good audio, recording voiceovers and captions, building your own mini style guide for fonts, colours and treatments, writing hooks and how to keep people watching and interested.

You'll leave with content ready to go, the confidence to create more on your own, a content planning template for your next 10 Reels, and a quick-reference guide you can come back to whenever you need it. Total beginners welcome.

At the end of the workshop, those who'd like to stay on are welcome to join me for a glass of bubbles, a bit more chat and networking.
